Vonnie

TaVondria Battle, nicknamed “Vonnie,” hails from Birmingham, Alabama. The daughter of a preacher and the eldest of three sisters, Vonnie settled in Atlanta, Georgia with her family, where she developed her musical talents.
Vonnie’s musical heritage and abilities originated from her family’s church. It was in the church choir that Vonnie’s love for music blossomed and began to motivate her to the point of shear musical genius. Through the church, she began writing, playing and producing her own material. It wasn’t long before Vonnie orchestrated the music ministry at Divine Faith Ministries in Jonesboro, Georgia. At Divine Faith, Vonnie conducted a choir of 52 members, while writing lyrics and playing the keyboard for numerous songs.
With an Associates degree in Music Composition from Clayton State University in Georgia, Vonnie began her musical career as a Senior Producer from Psallo Music and Records. It was here that she wrote, arranged and produced songs for label artists.
Vonnie is a rare jewel in the music industry. She writes, produces, arranges and sings all of her own music, with styles ranging from dance to gospel. Her debut album “Club Night” was released on Piggy Bank Records, in 2003.
